Don't Waste Your Time on Masks

Getting close to two weeks out since we submitted more mask designs after our first run. Mostly our children's line.

How long does it take to review a cartoon image of a baby duck and make a decision? We've all been looking the many approved masks to see what is selling and to get some design ideas. Thirty seconds tops to decide if a design meets criteria. 2 seconds for this one.

It was amazing and phenomenal when Z got masks implemented so quickly. But operationally, they are a tremendous fail. Weeks to get a design approved (Why do they need approval?), weeks for the customer to receive it and for us to receive 42¢ or less.

The new masks have fallen into the same trap. We haven't designed any.

Our personal opinion is that the new masks are a poor extension of the line. It's basically the same as the masks that are already available except that they have a poor design area.

Something different such as the many face/neck masks (for lack of a better term) we've all seen for sale would have been a much better choice. First because they are way cooler looking that a traditional face mask giving customers a totally different choice rather than something that is basically the same as we have. Second, designers would/should receive a more reasonable royalty. Don't they look like they would be fun to design?

Regardless, time is basically up. As of this morning 10 states are opening way up and most others have relaxed their restrictions and will be opening up more in another week. Further, those that have chosen to wear a mask already have one. Seems like by the time our cute baby duck is approved, we'll all be going to baseball games.

Our advice is to forget these flash in the pan, poorly executed and barely-worth-the-money product lines and go back to what was working for you all along.

Anyway, that's our plan from here on out.
